Book of Asterisk, chapter 23, verse 5:
Enlightenment empiricism, i.e. the reality-based community, has to take an active role in reversing this backward slide.

Yes, it's a cheap way to get a post when you've been too busy or too lazy or the four essays you've started so far won't finish themselves. But I probably wouldn't have posted it if 23:5 hadn't been iconic of everything I've been trying to say throughout. I also like that these instructions are deliberately more vague so that it doesn't drive obsessive people crazy.
Anyway, here's the skinny:
1. Go into your archive.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions.Passed on to whomever wants to do it.

I only have 21 posts on my one blog....the other one has this...
I am speaking of heaven and hell being not other-dimensional realms but merely extremes of here-and-now wellbeing or the lack thereof, as the world might be moving towards through time. Not as 'afterlife' in the usual christian sense, but as in 'the lives that come after our time, in the future, to this world.' Not a life *we* will be living, but the lives of our descendants. In a Zen Christian context, and this is before that blog went political (Zen Xtian stuff is now here) this is the true meaning of "Afterlife."
